Sara Vantaggio has been serving in Italy as a missionary since 2003. After graduating from Rhema Bible Training Center, she moved overseas with the intent of serving the local church there for one year... but God had other plans! The Lord cultivated an immense love in her heart for the people of Italy, and in March of 2011, she married one of them! Today, Marco and Sara pastor Chiesa Porta della Speranza (Door of Hope Church) in Ladispoli - a suburb of Rome. In a country where religion reigns, yet real and living relationship with God is scarce, their life's purpose is making it known that Jesus is ALIVE and gives true LIFE. Their greatest joy comes from making strong, God-fearing disciples that shine brightly in the darkness and share the hope only Christ can bring to the nation of Italy. They serve the Lord together with their three children - Benjamin, Abigail, and Elisabetta.
